Need More Inspiration?
Here's a pep-talk from Mr. Kid President, himself, about how to be an inventor! **Pay attention to the steps he says you should take to be successful!** |
|
Follow the Steps:
Identify the Problem: Think about a problem you encounter in every day life, or something you could make better.
Brainstorm: Make a list of all the ways you could fix it, all the ways it could be improved or made better. Design: Draw a picture of how you think it would need to work. Label the pieces, and make a list of all the materials you think you would need. Build: Using your picture you drew for your design, and the materials you have, build your invention. Test & Evaluate/Redesign/Build: Part of being a good inventor is knowing your invention works. After your first build, test your invention. Brainstorm some ways to improve your own invention, redraw your picture by adding your changes, and rebuild or add to your invention. Repeat this process until you are pleased with your invention! Share your Solution: This is when you allow others to see and test your invention. You would bring your invention to the Invention Convention, you could share it with the local news (ONLY with help from your parents), make a video, or some other method of telling the world of your awesome invention! |
