Behavior Chart
In our classroom, we will be using the behavior chart that you see to your left. Notice that this chart has 5 options for our behavior at the end of the day. The levels of behavior are below starting with the highest and ending with the lowest.
Purple: Awesome!
Blue: Good Job!
Green: Ready to Learn
Yellow: Slow Down!
Red: STOP!
When a student lands on red at any point in the day, they will have to fill out a Cool-Down sheet where they explain why they are on red, what choices lead them there, and what we need to do better next time. This will be sent home with them at the end of the day for a parent or guardian to sign and return.
Students may move down for being disrespectful, not following directions, or breaking any other rule that we have in our classroom, or in any other classroom they may go to (e.g. Music, P.E., Art, etc.). Students move up for setting good examples, not having to be spoken to or redirected throughout the day, and any other above and beyond behavior. Throughout the day, students are able to move up and down the chart according to their behavior, I will only record what color they are on at the end of the day.
Each day, regardless of color, the students color of their behavior will be noted in their agenda for you to see. I will try to include a note about the happenings of our day along with the color so that you will understand any color choice that I have made. I ask that every night you check your child's agenda for their behavior and sign to let me know that you have seen it.

The bucks they are given is for their use only and it is their responsibility to keep track of them. Replacement bucks will not be given if your child misplaces his or her bucks.
